How Should I Best Choose Brands When Buying White Marker Boards?
The melamine board is for occasional use because the clear coat on the top tends to wear away after a while. The porcelain steel is better if you will be using your board on a regular basis. It is a little more expensive but it is better in the long run.
The next thing to decide is whether you are able to mount the board on a wall, or if you have the space you can have a freestanding board. If you are a teacher you may want the lap boards for the kids.
You may also want a white board skin, which is something you can put over the old chalkboards. The reason that most people have changed over to white boards is because they are chalk dust free, which is great for allergy sufferers and it protects the computers.
The main thing you want to look for in a white board is the sturdiness, the ghosting or fading effect and the durability. Check your budget and get the board that best suits your needs and your pocket. Once you have it narrowed down to the type of board you need, you must remember to take care of it so it will last a long time.

Paper Quilling is a "Quilling technique" that is rolling thin strips of paper into small rolls. The coils can then be formed to quilled paper. Depending on the final effect you are trying to achieve, the coils are wound tightly or loosely. A more detailed understanding of the complex technology Quilling "may provide a more comprehensive and challenging designs.
Basic "Quilling Technique '
The majority of quilled shapes can be in a closed or open coil coils. Closed coils are paper strips that are close to a tightly wound coil. Open rolls are more loosely based. Let's look at some of the basic shapes that can be achieved:
Loose Coils
If you keep your tightly wound coil of paper instead of one minutes before the release, it will retain its rigid shape. If you need a single coil, just once in the coil immediately after it is wound tight. It will relax and you can glue the loose end to loose its shape to keep. If you find that You can not separate the effect you want to achieve, you should try winding the coil a bit faster before the release so it its tight shape.
Tear Drops

A tear is not your only option is, loose coils can be formed into triangles, squares, hexagons and much more once you've mastered the basics.
Eccentric Loose Coil

Use your Quiling tool or toothpick, press all rounds of the paper to just one side of the coil. You must then apply glue to the top of the coil and which meet all rounds. Place to hold for a few seconds for the glue to settle and then release.

Is there an inexpensive material similar to cork?
I'm hanging two card and need something to put behind them so the pins do not go into the wall. I would like use a part of cork, but it is too expensive. I also looked at foam board, but it is not long enough. Does anyone have any idea on something to mount on this? Note poster size: 50 "by 32" Thanks!
My first thought is to buy a sheet of construction grade foam insulation. It is sold as thin as 1 / 2 inches perhaps, to 3 inches? Often sold in 4 x 8 sheets of 2×8. You can click on a partial sheet of HD or Lowe's purchase, but even in full, it is priceless. Certainly not the same as cork, which is based fruit / vegetable matter, but construction grade foam is dense, and can accept "T" pins, tacks or maybe. You mention the foam Board not long enough. No offense, but you might not have explored all options, as I mentioned above. Steven Wolf Just my two "sense"
